CVSS v3.1 |
Buffer overflow in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.79 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
ManageEngine Key Manager Plus versions before 7151 are vulnerable to an improper access control issue that allow authenticated users to modify another user's ACME certificate deployment credentials.
A malicious actor with access to the adjacent network could exploit a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability found in airMAX M, LTU, SolarPoint, and SolarSwitch devices to execute arbitrary code on the device.
An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination.
FreeRDP 2.0.0 before 3.32.2 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in freerdp_dsp_decode_gsm610 that allows malicious RDP servers to read past audio buffers by sending truncated GSM610 frames. Attackers can negotiate GSM610 on rdpsnd and send a WAVE2 message shorter than a 33- or 32-byte WAV49 frame to crash the client.
HDF5 through 2.2.0 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in H5Z__filter_szip() in src/H5Zszip.c. When decoding a szip-compressed chunk, the function subtracts the 4-byte uncompressed-length header from the chunk length without first verifying that the chunk is at least 4 bytes long. A truncated or corrupted chunk shorter than the header causes the length calculation to wrap around to a very large value, and the decompressor reads far past the end of the chunk buffer. An attacker who can get a user or application to read a dataset from a crafted HDF5 file can cause a denial of service. Only builds with szip support (libaec or the szip library) are affected.
HDF5 through 2.2.0 contains a heap buffer over-read vulnerability in H5O__chunk_deserialize() in src/H5Ocache.c. When decoding object header messages, the declared message size is checked against the end of the chunk image before the remainder of the message header (flags, and for version 2 object headers, the optional creation index) has been decoded. Because the message body begins after these fields, a message can start up to four bytes further into the chunk than the size check accounts for. A crafted HDF5 file can declare a message size that passes the check but extends past the end of the chunk image, causing the message’s decode callback, for example H5O__mtime_new_decode() in src/H5Omtime.c, to read beyond the heap allocation. The flaw is reachable during H5Fopen() on a crafted file. An attacker who can get a user or application to open a malicious file can cause a denial of service or limited disclosure of process memory.
HDF5 through 2.2.0 contains a heap buffer over-read vulnerability in H5L__extern_traverse() in src/H5Lexternal.c, the default traversal callback for external links. The callback locates the target file name and object path within the link’s user data using strlen() without validating the buffer against its stored size (udata_size, which was marked unused). A crafted HDF5 file containing an external link whose data is not NULL-terminated, or is too short to hold both strings, causes strlen() to read past the end of the udata heap buffer, and the derived object path pointer may also point outside the buffer. The overrun is unbounded and continues until a zero byte is found. The flaw is triggered when the malicious link is traversed, for example when opening an object through it. An attacker who can get a user or application to access a crafted file can cause a denial of service, and adjacent heap contents may be incorporated into the external file name or object path the library attempts to open.
A vulnerability was detected in IrfanView 4.76.0.0 on Win64. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the component TIFF Wang Annotation Handler. Performing a manipulation results in heap-based buffer overflow. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The exploit is now public and may be used. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. The vendor confirms: "[T]he TIF-Annotations option is OFF by default. Means, normal users are not affected ... the danger level for this is low".
An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or write kernel memory.
Cesanta Mongoose before 7.22 contains an out-of-bounds read in the built-in TLS server function mg_tls_server_recv_hello(), which uses an attacker-controlled session_id_len byte from a TLS ClientHello as a buffer index without validating it against the length of received data. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a single crafted ClientHello with an oversized session id length to read past the receive buffer, crashing any HTTPS, MQTTS, or WSS service built on MG_TLS_BUILTIN.
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the Qt CoAP message parsing (QCoapInternalReply::createFromFrame()) of the Qt CoAP module. Processing a malformed CoAP message can cause an application using Qt CoAP to crash (loss of availability) or to continue operating on incorrect data (potential loss of integrity).
In getEntryFileName of ZipFileRO.cpp, there is a possible memory safety issue due to a heap buffer overflow. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A flaw was found in device-mapper-multipath. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds read by sending a command with a format string ending in a trailing percent character to the multipath daemon. This issue can allow the user to expose unintended daemon memory, leading to information disclosure, or cause the daemon to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
ZohoCorp ManageEngine Key Manager Plus versions up to 7150 allow authenticated users to export certificates belonging to other users to their own registered key vaults.
NVIDIA Slurm contains an attacker-controlled heap-based buffer overflow in the slurmstepd socket handling code.
NVIDIA Slurm contains a vulnerability where a user could deliberately alter the provided nodelist alongside the --distribution=arbitrary option to gain access to compute nodes outside of the current job allocation.
NVIDIA Slurm contains an attacker-controlled arbitrary-memory read in the slurmstepd socket API that could be used to ex-filtrate authentication keys.
NVIDIA Slurm contains an attacker-controlled heap-based buffer overflow in the slurmstepd process while the slurmstepd is running with root permissions.
Solanum before commit 2ce64de contains a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows a malicious linked server to corrupt memory by sending overlong channel names in JOIN or SJOIN messages. Attackers controlling a peer server can trigger strcpy and sprintf overflows in ms_join and ms_sjoin to crash the ircd or potentially achieve remote code execution.
