CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: hci_core: Fix possible buffer overflow
struct hci_dev_info has a fixed size name[8] field so in the event that
hdev->name is bigger than that strcpy would attempt to write past its
size, so this fixes this problem by switching to use strscpy. |
| ProFTPD before 1.3.9e and 1.3.10rc5 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in the mod_rewrite int:utf8trans RewriteMap that allows remote attackers to overwrite static buffers. Attackers can send FTP command arguments longer than 1024 bytes, without authentication if pre-login commands are rewritten, to corrupt session memory and crash the session. |
| The PEAK-System PCAN diagnostic call did not validate that the caller-supplied output buffer was large enough to hold the output record. |
| A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Fireware OS's SIP proxy allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted request through a policy that uses the SIP proxy. |
| A flaw has been found in Tenda BE3L Pro 16.03.60.62. Affected by this vulnerability is the function formWifiBasicSet of the file /goform/WifiBasicSet. This manipulation of the argument security_5g causes buffer overflow. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. |
| EDK2 contains a vulnerability in BIOS where a user may cause “Out-of-bounds
Write”, Classic
Buffer Overflow, and “Incorrect Calculation of Buffer Size” by remote access. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability
can lead to arbitrary
code execution. It could also impact
Confidentiality,
Integrity,
and Availability. |
| Asterisk is an open source private branch exchange and telephony toolkit. Prior to Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3, an unbounded `memcpy` of `OGG/Speex` packet data in `format_ogg_speex` can cause a heap buffer overflow and crash Asterisk when reading a file containing corrupted Speex audio. The attacker must create the file and make it available to Asterisk either through sufficiently elevated privileges or by convincing an Asterisk administrator to make it available. Asterisk must also be configured to play that file. This issue is fixed in Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3. |
| Asterisk is an open source private branch exchange and telephony toolkit. Prior to Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3, `app_sms.c` copies externally controlled `SMS` lengths into `fixed in-struct buffers` without sufficient bounds checks, allowing an attacker to corrupt memory or crash Asterisk. The administrator must explicitly use the `SMS` dialplan application, which is useful when routing calls to or from `analog devices`, and must not have ensured that data passed to the application is valid. This issue is fixed in Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3. |
| A heap buffer overflow in handling GLX
RenderLarge request where dataBytes exceeds cmdlen in X.org X server before 21.1.25 and XWayland before 24.1.14 that could be be triggered by an authenticated X client could cause crashes or code execution in X server context. |
| Invalid pointer in the JavaScript: GC component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 159 and Thunderbird 159. |
| Asterisk is an open source private branch exchange and telephony toolkit. Prior to Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3, an unbounded `sscanf` in `res_pjsip_pubsub` when parsing the `MWI NOTIFY` `Message-Account` field may allow an unauthenticated attacker to send a carefully crafted packet that causes a stack buffer overflow and corrupts the underlying transport, permanently disabling all SIP functionality. An Asterisk restart is required to restore full operation. This issue is fixed in Asterisk 20.20.1, 21.12.3, 22.10.1, 23.4.1 and Certified Asterisk 20.7-cert11, 22.8-cert3. |
| FFmpeg before commit 1cdeb3c contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the VC-2/Dirac RTP packetizer (libavformat/rtpenc_vc2hq.c) that allows attackers to trigger memory corruption by supplying a crafted Dirac data unit. The packetizer copies an input-derived data unit or fragment size into a fixed-size buffer without an upper bound check, causing a heap buffer overflow when the crafted input is packetized for RTP output. |
| FFmpeg before commit 1c10bcc contains a heap buffer overflow in the RIST protocol reader (libavformat/librist.c). librist_read() ignored its size argument and copied the full received payload length into the caller-provided destination buffer, overflowing it when the payload exceeds the destination size. This is reachable via the async:rist:// URL scheme, where the async wrapper supplies a smaller buffer than the received payload. A remote RIST sender can trigger the overflow by sending a packet whose payload exceeds the caller buffer size. |
| FFmpeg before commit 9d786e4 contains a stack buffer overflow in the MPEG-PS muxer (libavformat/mpegenc.c). When muxing input with more streams than the muxer's fixed-size stack buffer accommodates, the buffer is overflowed. A crafted input with an excessive number of streams triggers the overflow during MPEG-PS muxing. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix sched scan IE sizing
Scheduled scan built the probe request before iwl_mvm_scan_fits(),
so oversized IEs could be copied into the fixed preq buffer before
length validation. Move iwl_mvm_build_scan_probe() after the fits
check.
Also advertise max_sched_scan_ie_len using iwl_mvm_max_scan_ie_len()
so userspace limits account for driver-inserted DS/TPC bytes. |
| A stack buffer overflow was addressed through improved input validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. Processing a maliciously crafted audit file may corrupt process memory. |
| An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or write kernel memory. |
| A buffer overflow was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. A remote attacker may be able to cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory. |
| SODOLA SL902-SWTGW124AS firmware before 200.2.12 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending an oversized boundary value in the Content-Type header of a crafted POST request. Attackers can exploit the embedded HTTP server's multipart/form-data boundary parser to cause the device to become fully unresponsive — dropping all management access and traffic forwarding during its self-recovery cycle. |
| AimOne Video Converter 2.04 Build 103 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in its registration form that causes application crashes. Attackers can generate a 7000-byte payload to trigger the denial of service and potentially exploit the software's registration mechanism. |
