CVE-2026-72324 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: mvebu: free generic chips on unbind irq_alloc_domain_generic_chips() allocates generic chip data that must be freed via irq_domain_remove_generic_chips(). The devres action mvebu_gpio_remove_irq_domain() only called irq_domain_remove(), which only frees the generic chips if IRQ_DOMAIN_FLAG_DESTROY_GC is set. Call irq_domain_remove_generic_chips() explicitly before irq_domain_remove() instead.
CVE-2026-68436 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: use kvzalloc to allocate struct dc struct dc has grown large over time (most of it the two inlined dc_scratch_space copies) and now sits close to the page allocator's 4 MiB contiguous allocation limit. Its actual size is not fixed by the source alone, it also depends on the compiler and the .config, so it can easily cross 4 MiB, e.g. with a newer GCC or a config change. dc_create() allocates it with kzalloc(). Once struct dc exceeds 4 MiB the request is rounded up to order 11 (8 MiB), which is above MAX_PAGE_ORDER, so the page allocator warns and returns NULL. dc_create() then fails, DM init fails and amdgpu probe aborts with -EINVAL: WARNING: mm/page_alloc.c:5197 at __alloc_frozen_pages_noprof+0x2f9/0x380 dc_create+0x38/0x660 [amdgpu] amdgpu_dm_init+0x2d9/0x510 [amdgpu] dm_hw_init+0x1b/0x90 [amdgpu] amdgpu_device_init.cold+0x150d/0x1e13 [amdgpu] amdgpu_driver_load_kms+0x19/0x80 [amdgpu] amdgpu_pci_probe+0x1e2/0x4c0 [amdgpu] dc_create() then returns NULL and DM init fails, which aborts the whole GPU init and makes amdgpu probe fail with -EINVAL ("hw_init of IP block <dm> failed -22"), leaving the display unusable. The subsequent amdgpu_irq_put() warnings during teardown are just fallout of unwinding a half-initialized device. struct dc is a software-only bookkeeping structure that is never handed to hardware DMA and is only ever kept as an opaque pointer, so it does not require physically contiguous memory. Allocate it with kvzalloc() (and free it with kvfree()) so that the allocator can fall back to vmalloc() when a contiguous allocation of that size is not available, which also avoids the MAX_PAGE_ORDER warning entirely. v2: - Rebase to amd-staging-drm-next. CVE-2026-68412 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 6.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: Fix an error handling path in cfg80211_wext_siwscan() If the test against IEEE80211_MAX_SSID_LEN fails, then 'creq' leaks. Use the existing error handling path to fix it.
CVE-2026-68211 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: stm32-dcmipp: Return queued buffers on start_streaming() failure The vb2 framework hands buffers to the driver via buf_queue() before calling start_streaming(). If start_streaming() returns an error without first returning those buffers via vb2_buffer_done(), vb2_start_streaming() fires WARN_ON(owned_by_drv_count) and the queued buffers leak. dcmipp_bytecap_start_streaming() returned -EINVAL when the source subdevice could not be resolved from the media graph, before pm_runtime_resume_and_get() and media_pipeline_start() had been called. The remaining error paths already converge on the err_buffer_done label, which calls dcmipp_bytecap_all_buffers_done(..., VB2_BUF_STATE_QUEUED). Jump to that label directly: the intermediate err_pm_put / err_media_pipeline_stop labels are skipped, which is correct because nothing they would undo has happened yet. This mirrors the uvcvideo fix in commit 4cf3b6fd54eb ("media: uvcvideo: Return queued buffers on start_streaming() failure").
CVE-2026-64241 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: rockchip: teardown bugs and resource leaks Address several teardown issues and resource leaks in the driver's remove path and error handling: 1. Debounce clock reference leak: The debounce clock (bank->db_clk) is obtained using of_clk_get() which increments the clock's reference count, but clk_put() is never called. Register a devm action to cleanly release it on unbind. Note that of_clk_get(..., 1) remains necessary over devm_clk_get() because the DT binding does not define clock-names, precluding name-based lookup. 2. Unregistered chained IRQ handler: The chained IRQ handler is not disconnected in remove(). If a stray interrupt fires after the driver is removed, the kernel attempts to execute a stale handler, leading to a panic. Fix this by clearing the handler in remove(). 3. IRQ domain leak: The linear IRQ domain and its generic chips are allocated manually during probe but never removed. Remove the IRQ domain during driver teardown to free the associated generic chips and mappings. [Bartosz: don't emit an error message on devres allocation failure]
CVE-2026-64060 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix leak of request in netfs_write_begin() error handling Fix netfs_write_begin() to not leak our ref on the request in the event that we get an error from netfs_wait_for_read().
CVE-2026-63999 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ethtool: rss: fix indir_table and hkey leak on get_rxfh failure rss_prepare_get() allocates the indirection table and hash key buffer via rss_get_data_alloc(), then calls ops->get_rxfh() to populate them. If get_rxfh() fails, the function returns an error without freeing the allocation.
CVE-2026-53113 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: fix memory leaks in beacon template setup The functions ath11k_mac_setup_bcn_tmpl_ema() and ath11k_mac_setup_bcn_tmpl_mbssid() allocate memory for beacon templates but fail to free it when parameter setup returns an error. Since beacon templates must be released during normal execution, they must also be released in the error handling paths to prevent memory leaks. Fix this by using unified exit paths with proper cleanup in the respective error paths. Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool and code review.
CVE-2026-53104 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: Fix memory leak destroying device All MT76 rx queues have an associated page_pool even if the queue is not associated to a NAPI (e.g. WED RRO queues with WED enabled). Destroy the page_pool running mt76_dma_cleanup routine during module unload. Moreover returns pages to the page pool if WED is not enabled for WED RRO queues.
CVE-2026-46228 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: ch341: fix devres lifetime USB drivers bind to USB interfaces and any device managed resources should have their lifetime tied to the interface rather than parent USB device. This avoids issues like memory leaks when drivers are unbound without their devices being physically disconnected (e.g. on probe deferral or configuration changes). Fix the controller and driver data lifetime so that they are released on driver unbind. Note that this also makes sure that the SPI controller is placed correctly under the USB interface in the device tree.
CVE-2026-46171 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: kvm: fix vector context allocation leak When the second kzalloc (host_context.vector.datap) fails in kvm_riscv_vcpu_alloc_vector_context, the first allocation (guest_context.vector.datap) is leaked. Free it before returning.
CVE-2026-46044 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmi:ssif: Clean up kthread on errors If an error occurs after the ssif kthread is created, but before the main IPMI code starts the ssif interface, the ssif kthread will not be stopped. So make sure the kthread is stopped on an error condition if it is running.
CVE-2026-43485 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nouveau/gsp: drop WARN_ON in ACPI probes These WARN_ONs seem to trigger a lot, and we don't seem to have a plan to fix them, so just drop them, as they are most likely harmless.
CVE-2026-43317 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: most: core: fix leak on early registration failure A recent commit fixed a resource leak on early registration failures but for some reason left out the first error path which still leaks the resources associated with the interface. Fix up also the first error path so that the interface is always released on errors.
CVE-2026-89572 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: apple-soc: Fix OPP table cleanup apple_soc_cpufreq_init() adds OPP tables from firmware, but some failure paths do not remove them. The driver also uses dev_pm_opp_remove_all_dynamic(), which is not the right cleanup helper for OPP tables loaded from firmware. Use the cpumask OPP helper after the policy CPU mask has been populated. Pair it with the matching cpumask remove helper on failure paths and in apple_soc_cpufreq_exit(). This also removes the separate dev_pm_opp_set_sharing_cpus() call, as the cpumask helper loads the DT OPP tables for all CPUs in the policy.
CVE-2026-80897 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: release readahead folios on iterator preparation failure netfs_prepare_read_iterator() batches readahead folios in put_batch so that the folio references can be dropped after the I/O iterator has been prepared. If rolling_buffer_load_from_ra() fails after earlier folios have been batched, the function returns immediately and leaves those references held. Release the batch before returning the error.
CVE-2026-31746 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Fix memory leak with CCA cards used as accelerator Tests showed that there is a memory leak if CCA cards are used as accelerator for clear key RSA requests (ME and CRT). With the last rework for the memory allocation the AP messages are allocated by ap_init_apmsg() but for some reason on two places (ME and CRT) the older allocation was still in place. So the first allocation simple was never freed.
CVE-2026-31645 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: lan966x: fix page pool leak in error paths lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc() creates a page pool but does not destroy it if the subsequent fdma_alloc_coherent() call fails, leaking the pool. Similarly, lan966x_fdma_init() frees the coherent DMA memory when lan966x_fdma_tx_alloc() fails but does not destroy the page pool that was successfully created by lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc(), leaking it. Add the missing page_pool_destroy() calls in both error paths.
CVE-2026-31526 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix exception exit lock checking for subprogs process_bpf_exit_full() passes check_lock = !curframe to check_resource_leak(), which is false in cases when bpf_throw() is called from a static subprog. This makes check_resource_leak() to skip validation of active_rcu_locks, active_preempt_locks, and active_irq_id on exception exits from subprogs. At runtime bpf_throw() unwinds the stack via ORC without releasing any user-acquired locks, which may cause various issues as the result. Fix by setting check_lock = true for exception exits regardless of curframe, since exceptions bypass all intermediate frame cleanup. Update the error message prefix to "bpf_throw" for exception exits to distinguish them from normal BPF_EXIT. Fix reject_subprog_with_rcu_read_lock test which was previously passing for the wrong reason. Test program returned directly from the subprog call without closing the RCU section, so the error was triggered by the unclosed RCU lock on normal exit, not by bpf_throw. Update __msg annotations for affected tests to match the new "bpf_throw" error prefix. The spin_lock case is not affected because they are already checked [1] at the call site in do_check_insn() before bpf_throw can run. CVE-2025-71272 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: most: core: fix resource leak in most_register_interface error paths The function most_register_interface() did not correctly release resources if it failed early (before registering the device). In these cases, it returned an error code immediately, leaking the memory allocated for the interface. Fix this by initializing the device early via device_initialize() and calling put_device() on all error paths. The most_register_interface() is expected to call put_device() on error which frees the resources allocated in the caller. The put_device() either calls release_mdev() or dim2_release(), depending on the caller. Switch to using device_add() instead of device_register() to handle the split initialization.
