CVSS v3.1 |
| Aegisub is a cross-platform advanced subtitle editor. From 3.2.0 to 3.4.2, Aegisub automatically loads Automation scripts referenced by `Automation Scripts` metadata in `ASS` subtitle projects without asking whether the user trusts the scripts or their authors. An attacker can distribute a crafted `ASS` file together with a referenced malicious Automation script, and opening the `AS` file executes arbitrary code with the privileges of the Aegisub process. From 3.4.0 to 3.4.2, inconsistent handling of embedded `NUL` characters between extension validation and filesystem operations additionally allows a crafted `ASS/Lua` polyglot to reference and execute itself as a single-file variant. The vulnerability is fixed in Aegisub 3.5.0. |
| Untrusted pointer dereference in SysInternals allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Untrusted pointer dereference in SysInternals allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Inclusion of functionality from untrusted control sphere in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Privilege escalation due to use-after-free in the Graphics: WebGPU component. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 157 and Firefox 157. |
| ImageMagick 7.1.0-20 before 7.1.2-32 contains a use after free vulnerability in the -fx option that occurs when a memory allocation fails during a specific operation. Attackers who can supply crafted -fx expressions under memory pressure can trigger freed memory access, causing crashes or memory corruption. |
| Sandbox escape due to use-after-free in the DOM: Content Processes component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox ESR 153.4, Thunderbird 157, Thunderbird 140.17, Thunderbird 153.4, Firefox 157, Firefox ESR 115.42, and Firefox ESR 140.17. |
| FreeRDP 2.1.0 before 3.32.0 contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the static rdpsnd channel disconnect path, which frees audio formats and device without joining play_thread. A malicious RDP server can disconnect while asynchronous Wave2 playback processes queued PDUs, causing the client to read freed heap memory and crash. |
| Gitea Actions decided whether a fork pull request run needed approval based on the user who triggered the event rather than the pull request author. For `pull_request` activity triggered by a maintainer during ordinary triage, such as adding a label, the run was created without requiring approval, while the workflow definition was still taken from the fork head. Where Actions is enabled and a matching runner is registered, fork-controlled workflow code could run on the base repository's runners without an explicit approval. |
| Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) Policy Manager, versions prior to 5.34.00.16, contains an Inclusion of Functionality from Untrusted Control Sphere vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of privileges, Filesystem access for attacker, and Remote execution. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-57 and 7.x before 7.1.2-32 contains a use after free vulnerability in the PDF writer when writing CMYK images with JPEG2000 compression. Attackers can supply a crafted CMYK image that, when written to PDF with JPEG2000 compression, causes freed memory to be reused, potentially crashing the process. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/rtrs: Fix use-after-free in path file creation cleanup
In the error path of rtrs_srv_create_path_files(), the sysfs root folders
may already have been created and srv_path->kobj may already have been
initialized. If a later step fails, the cleanup currently calls
kobject_put(&srv_path->kobj) before
rtrs_srv_destroy_once_sysfs_root_folders(srv_path).
kobject_put() may drop the last reference to srv_path->kobj and invoke the
release callback, rtrs_srv_release(), which frees srv_path. The following
call to rtrs_srv_destroy_once_sysfs_root_folders(srv_path) then
dereferences srv_path internally to access srv_path->srv, resulting in a
use-after-free.
This failure path is reached before rtrs_srv_create_path_files() returns
success, so the successful-path lifetime handling is not involved.
Fix this by destroying the sysfs root folders before calling
kobject_put(&srv_path->kobj), so srv_path is still valid while the helper
accesses it.
This issue was found by a static analysis tool I am developing. |
| Use-after-free in the DOM: UI Events & Focus Handling component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox ESR 153.4, Thunderbird 157, Thunderbird 153.4, and Firefox 157. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gpio: aggregator: fix a potential use-after-free
On error we free aggr->lookups->dev_id before removing the entry from
the lookup table. If a concurrent thread calls gpiod_find() before we
remove the entry, it could iterate over the list and call
gpiod_match_lookup_table() which unconditionally dereferences dev_id
when calling strcmp(). Reverse the order of cleanup. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix durable reconnect error path file lifetime
After a durable reconnect succeeds, ksmbd_reopen_durable_fd() republishes
the same ksmbd_file into the session volatile-id table. If smb2_open()
then takes a later error path, cleanup first calls ksmbd_fd_put(work, fp)
and then unconditionally calls ksmbd_put_durable_fd(dh_info.fp).
In this case fp and dh_info.fp are the same object. The first put drops the
reconnect lookup reference, but the final durable put can run
__ksmbd_close_fd(NULL, fp). Because the final close is not session-aware,
it can free the file object without removing the volatile-id entry that was
just published into the session table.
Use the session-aware put for the final reconnect drop when the reconnect
had already succeeded and the error path is cleaning up the republished
file. Earlier reconnect failures, before fp is assigned to dh_info.fp, keep
using the durable-only put path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfc: llcp: Fix use-after-free in llcp_sock_release()
llcp_sock_release() unconditionally unlinks the socket from the local
sockets list. However, if the socket is still in connecting state, it
is on the connecting list.
Fix this by checking the socket state and unlinking from the correct list. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
arm64: hibernate: pass HVC_SET_VECTORS args to the resume hvc
swsusp_arch_suspend_exit() reinstalls the restored kernel's hyp stub
vectors with an hvc, but never passes the arguments. x0 is not set to
HVC_SET_VECTORS and x1 is not set to the vector address, so the stub
dispatch falls through and returns without writing vbar_el2. EL2 is
left pointing at the trans_pgd copy of the vectors, a page that
swsusp_free() releases right after resume.
Set the arguments up the same way __hyp_set_vectors() does.
Without this fix, Vladimir was able to trigger a hang when resuming from
hibernation with CONFIG_PAGE_POISONING=y and page_poison=on. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: bridge: mst: move switchdev call outside rcu
This is a follow-up of one of sashiko's pre-existing bug reports.
br_mst_set_state() calls switchdev_port_attr_set() for nonzero MSTIs
while holding rcu_read_lock() which invokes the blocking switchdev
notifier chain and may sleep. Nonzero MSTI changes come from netlink
with rtnl held. Move the switchdev call before entering the rcu section and
assert that rtnl is held.
The call cannot be deferred because netlink needs its error and extack.
Also DSA reads the old bridge MST state during the callback and checks it.
A deferred callback will be late and will see the updated state. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: dsa: mxl862xx: disable the stats poll on teardown
mxl862xx_setup() arms the stats poll before mxl862xx_setup_mdio(), and
nothing stops it until dsa_register_switch() has returned an error to
mxl862xx_probe(). DSA frees the dsa_port list before it returns, so a
poll that fires once .setup or a later step of dsa_tree_setup() has
failed walks freed ports. On shutdown the user ports stay registered,
and the WORK_STOPPED flag test in mxl862xx_get_stats64() is not atomic
with the cancel in mxl862xx_shutdown(), so a re-arm that read the flag
before it was set queues the poll after cancel_delayed_work_sync() has
returned.
Arm the poll once .setup has succeeded and stop it from a .teardown op,
which DSA calls on unregister and after a failed registration, in both
cases before it frees the ports. Use disable_delayed_work_sync() there
and in shutdown(): it drains a running poll as the cancel did and turns
every later attempt to queue the work into a no-op, so the re-arm
cannot bring the poll back. remove() and the probe error path only set
WORK_STOPPED, which crc_err_work tests before it walks the ports. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: coredump: Quiesce dump work on unregister
hci_devcd_handle_pkt_init() arms dump_timeout and coredump producers
queue dump_rx without holding an hdev reference. Unregister leaves both
works live, so disconnecting during an active dump lets them access hdev
after hci_release_dev() frees it.
Shut down coredump processing during unregister. Close the producer gate
under dump_q.lock before disabling both works, then free the active buffer
and queued packets under hci_dev_lock. Serializing the gate with enqueue
prevents controller-specific workers from adding packets after the final
purge. |
