CVSS v3.1 |
| Apache Pulsar's MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider authorizes a client with all roles listed in a claim of its JSON Web Token (JWT). The provider is intended for use with token authentication, which verifies the token before authorization. The provider did not verify the token itself: it parsed the token's claims with the signature removed and trusted that authentication had already checked it.
When authentication and authorization are enabled with a non-empty anonymousUserRole setting, some HTTP requests whose credentials fail authentication are not rejected, but are handled as requests of the anonymous user role. For the broker's HTTP endpoints, such as the admin REST API, this fallback applies to requests that do not name an authentication method and requires strictAuthMethod to be false (the default) where that setting is available. For the WebSocket API, failed credentials can also fall back to the anonymous user role; this path does not enforce strictAuthMethod. The authentication data kept for such a request still contained the request's Authorization header. MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider then read the bearer token from that header without verifying its signature and authorized the request with the roles in the token's role claim.
As a result, in deployments that use MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider together with a non-empty anonymousUserRole and that permit this fallback, an unauthenticated client can send an HTTP request, for example to the admin REST API or the WebSocket API, with a forged or unsigned token that lists arbitrary roles, and be authorized with those roles. The impact can include super-user access when the token lists a role configured in superUserRoles, allowing the client to read and change tenants, namespaces, topics, permissions and broker configuration. No valid credentials are required.
Deployments are not affected if they use the default authorization provider (PulsarAuthorizationProvider) or another authorization provider, or if anonymousUserRole is not set (the default). Requests that authenticate successfully with a valid token are not affected, because the token that MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider reads is the token that authentication verified. Connections that use the Pulsar binary protocol are not affected by this issue, because the broker does not keep client authentication data for connections that it assigns to the anonymous user role.
In fixed versions, MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider obtains roles only from tokens that the configured token authentication provider has verified, using its configured keys and validation settings. Broker HTTP requests that are assigned to the anonymous user role are authorized only as that role, and invalid tokens cannot supply additional roles to WebSocket requests. The broker fails to start if MultiRolesTokenAuthorizationProvider is configured with authorization enabled but without a token authentication provider.
This issue affects Apache Pulsar versions from 2.8.1 before 4.0.14 and from 4.1.0 before 4.2.5.
- 4.0.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.0.14.
- 4.1.x and 4.2.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.2.5.
Users operating versions prior to those listed above should upgrade to the aforementioned patched versions or newer versions.
The currently supported Apache Pulsar release lines are 4.0.x and 5.0.x. The supported versions schedule is available at https://pulsar.apache.org/contribute/release-policy/.
Users who cannot upgrade immediately can remove the anonymousUserRole setting from the broker and WebSocket service configurations, or restrict network access to the HTTP endpoints of these services to trusted clients. |
| An Improper Authentication vulnerability in J-Web of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated network attacker to bypass J-Web authentication and execute CGI content with elevated privileges via a crafted HTTP request. |
| A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a remote configured BGP peer to cause an rpd crash, or on Junos OS remote code-execution, via sending a flow-spec update which is selected for re-advertisement. |
| Improper certificate validation in the HTTPS listener in Canonical LXD 4.0.14, 5.0.10, 5.21.8, 6.9 before 4.0.15, 5.0.11, 5.21.9, 6.10.1 allows an unauthenticated attacker to authenticate as any trusted client and gain full access to the cluster and managed virtual machines via a crafted certificate chain. |
| Omni C20 lacks proper certificate validation which could allow an attacker to perform a man-in-the-middle attack which could allow them to execute arbitrary code. |
| CakePHP through 5.4.3 contains an sql injection vulnerability that allows attackers to inject SQL by supplying unvalidated frame offsets and directions to WindowExpression::range() and frame(). Attackers can pass crafted values through applications forwarding user input into the OVER clause to execute SQL with the database connection's privileges. |
| An issue has been discovered in ClickHouse Server that, under certain conditions, could allow an unauthenticated user with network access to execute arbitrary code on the ClickHouse Server. |
| The affected products are vulnerable to command injection attack that could allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute system commands during the pairing process. |
| Collabora Online Built-in CODE Server before 26.4.303 (richdocumentscode), a Nextcloud app, allows remote code execution, as exploited in the wild in September and October 2026, a different vulnerability than CVE-2025-66208. This is an OS command injection in proxy.php when the CODE server isn't running (e.g., the product was recently restarted). The vulnerability is not present in standalone Collabora Online servers; only this deployment with CODE Server is affected. |
| InternLM LMDeploy 0.9.0 through 0.18.0 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability that allows remote attackers to run OS commands by sending pickled data to the /update_weights endpoint. Attackers can submit a base64-encoded crafted pickle in serialized_named_tensors, which ForkingPickler.loads deserializes without validation, executing commands as the api_server process. |
| vsftpd through 3.0.5 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in ssl_data_accept() that allows unauthenticated attackers to hijack FTPS data connections by resuming their own TLS session ticket. Attackers sharing the victim's source IP can obtain a ticket via AUTH TLS, then connect to the victim's PASV port to steal downloads or inject upload data. |
| Missing verification of source of a communication channel in the default_bucket() function in Amazon SageMaker Python SDK V3 before 3.10.0 and V2 before 2.257.3 might allow remote actors to achieve code execution in the target SageMaker execution environment and obtain IAM credentials via pre-creation of a predictably named S3 bucket that the SDK uses without ownership validation.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to Amazon SageMaker Python SDK 3.10.0 (V3) or 2.257.3 (V2). |
| CakePHP through 5.4.3 contains an sql injection vulnerability that allows attackers to inject SQL by supplying unvalidated collation values to StringExpression and IdentifierExpression. Attackers controlling a collation name passed to the constructor or setCollation() can append SQL after the unquoted COLLATE clause, affecting every database driver within the connection's privileges. |
| ServiceNow has remediated a sandbox escape security issue that was identified in the ServiceNow AI Platform. This vulnerability could enable an authenticated user with the admin role to bypass Rhino sandbox restrictions and execute arbitrary code on the underlying host operating system, potentially enabling further unintended access.
ServiceNow deployed an update to hosted instances, and ServiceNow provided the update to our partners and self-hosted customers. We are not currently aware of malicious exploitation against ServiceNow instances. We recommend customers promptly apply appropriate updates or upgrade to a patched release if they have not already done so. |
| Nodemailer before 8.0.4 is vulnerable to SMTP command injection through the unsanitized envelope.size parameter. When an application passes a custom envelope object with a size property containing CRLF characters to sendMail(), the value is concatenated into the SMTP MAIL FROM command (as SIZE=...) without sanitization, allowing injection of arbitrary SMTP commands such as RCPT TO to silently add attacker-controlled recipients. Exploitation requires the application to expose the envelope size to attacker-controlled input, as Nodemailer does not include size in the default auto-constructed envelope. |
| openssl-encrypt (pip package, versions <= 1.4.8) fails to sanitize filenames read from untrusted drive data (outside the AES-GCM authenticated manifest) before printing them in the verify-usb command's output. An attacker can plant filenames containing terminal cursor-movement and erase-line control bytes that repaint a forged PASSED verdict on screen, masking actual tamper detection. Fixed in 1.4.9 by routing drive-derived names through sanitize_for_display(). |
| SiYuan's development branch (endpoint introduced by commit 9b8e8956f, not present in v3.7.3 or master, patched in v3.7.4-alpha.3) contains a missing-authorization vulnerability in the /api/av/getAttributeViewSearchTarget endpoint. The route is registered with CheckAuth only and performs no authorization checks (no CheckReadonly, no publish-access or encrypted-notebook gating). Given a database identifier taken from a published page and a keyword, an anonymous reader can query the endpoint to retrieve matching database row content, including rows that publish filters (FilterAttributeViewByPublishAccess) would otherwise withhold. No released stable version is affected. |
| Bold Reports Standalone Report Designer before 14.1.12 contains a missing filepath validation vulnerability in its database download feature that allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem by supplying a crafted request. Attackers can exploit this path traversal weakness to disclose sensitive server files, including authentication credentials, enabling full unauthorized access to the application. The vulnerability is specific to the DataHub module, which was introduced in Bold Reports 6.3. Therefore, versions prior to 6.3 are not affected. |
| Vvveb CMS before 1.0.8.2 contains a remote code execution vulnerability in its media management functionality where a missing return statement in the file rename handler allows authenticated attackers to rename files to blocked extensions .php or .htaccess. Attackers can exploit this logic flaw by first uploading a text file and renaming it to .htaccess to inject Apache directives that register PHP-executable MIME types, then uploading another file and renaming it to .php to execute arbitrary operating system commands as the www-data user. |
| The Grav API plugin (grav-plugin-api) before 1.0.4 does not validate the origin of the client-supplied admin_base_url field in the POST /api/v1/auth/forgot-password endpoint. The sanitizeHttpUrl() function only checks that the URL scheme is http/https and never verifies the host against the server's own origin, so an attacker can supply an arbitrary host. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can cause the password reset email sent to a victim to contain a reset link pointing at an attacker-controlled server; when the victim follows the link, the valid reset token is disclosed to the attacker, enabling full account takeover. The vulnerable base URL can also be influenced via the Referer or Origin headers. |
