CVE-2026-90324 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ublk: check import_ubuf() return value import_ubuf() can fail if the address range (provided by the userspace ublk server) is outside the allowed user address space. Return that 0 bytes were copied if import_ubuf() fails rather than passing an uninitialized struct iov_iter to ublk_copy_user_pages().
CVE-2026-90217 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Compare iterator types during state pruning An iterator stack slot can be MEM_RCU or PTR_UNTRUSTED. These states must not be equal, or the verifier can prune an unsafe path. Compare the pointer type for STACK_ITER slots.
CVE-2026-89827 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: avoid force-completing uninitialized UVD rings uvd_v7_0_sw_init() does not initialize the UVD decode ring for an SR-IOV VF. However, amdgpu_uvd_resume() unconditionally force-completes the decode ring when restoring its fence sequence. Skip fence completion when the fence driver is not initialized.
CVE-2026-89812 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: force complete the MES ring fences on reset The MES scheduler ring has no drm scheduler (no_scheduler = true), so it is skipped by the force-completion loop in amdgpu_device_pre_asic_reset(). It uses a polling fence whose hw value lives in wb (GTT) memory and survives a MODE1 reset, while fence_drv.sync_seq keeps advancing for every packet. When the reset is triggered because MES itself stopped responding, the timed-out packets advance sync_seq past the last hw fence value MES wrote. After resume the first MES submission polls forever on a seq that is never written back, failing the resume and wedging the box on a second reset: amdgpu: MES ring buffer is full. amdgpu: *ERROR* ring gfx_0.0.0 test failed (-110) amdgpu: resume of IP block <gfx_v11_0> failed -110 amdgpu: GPU reset end with ret = -110 Force complete the MES scheduler ring fences together with the scheduler rings so their hw fence is realigned to sync_seq. v2: cover all XCCs (one scheduler ring each), not just mes.ring[0].
CVE-2026-72363 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix folio state after ENOMEM whilst under writeback iteration Fix the state of the current folio when ENOMEM occurs during writeback iteration. The folio needs to be redirtied and unlocked before the terminal writeback_iter() is invoked.
CVE-2026-68375 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Handle partially initialized auxiliary devices bnxt_aux_devices_init() calls auxiliary_device_init() before all fields used by bnxt_aux_dev_release() are initialized. After auxiliary_device_init() succeeds, later errors must unwind with auxiliary_device_uninit(), which invokes the release callback. The release callback assumes that aux_priv->id, aux_priv->edev, edev->net and edev->ulp_tbl are all populated. If allocation fails after auxiliary_device_init(), the release path can otherwise dereference or clear partially initialized state. Allocate and attach the bnxt_en_dev and ULP table before calling auxiliary_device_init(), so the release callback only sees a fully initialized auxiliary private object. If auxiliary_device_init() itself fails, free those allocations directly because device_initialize() has not run and the release callback will not be invoked. This issue was found by a static analysis checker and confirmed by manual source review.
CVE-2026-64068 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix missing locking around retry adding new subreqs Fix netfs_retry_read_subrequests() and netfs_retry_write_stream() to take the appropriate lock when adding extra subrequests into stream->subrequests.
CVE-2026-53285 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Wrap DCN32 phantom-plane allocation in DC_RUN_WITH_PREEMPTION_ENABLED [Why] dcn32_validate_bandwidth() wraps dcn32_internal_validate_bw() with DC_FP_START()/DC_FP_END(). In x86 non-RT, DC_FP_START takes fpregs_lock(), which disables local softirqs. The DML1 path through dcn32_enable_phantom_plane() calls kvzalloc() to allocate ~335 KiB for dc_plane_state. This triggers the vmalloc path, which calls BUG_ON(in_interrupt()) because it's invoked within the FPU-enabled (softirq disabled) region, leading to a kernel crash. [How] Wrap the dc_state_create_phantom_plane() call with the DC_RUN_WITH_PREEMPTION_ENABLED() macro to allow preemption during this memory allocation. CVE-2026-53277 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Take the SRCU lock for page table walks in fault injection and AT emulation walk_s1() and kvm_walk_nested_s2() expect to be called while holding kvm->srcu to guard against memslot changes. While this is generally the case, __kvm_at_s12() and __kvm_find_s1_desc_level() call into the respective walkers without taking kvm->srcu. Fix by acquiring kvm->srcu prior to the table walk in both instances.
CVE-2026-53103 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7925: fix potential deadlock in mt7925_roc_abort_sync roc_abort_sync() can deadlock with roc_work(). roc_work() holds dev->mt76.mutex, while cancel_work_sync() waits for roc_work() to finish. If the caller already owns the same mutex, both sides block and no progress is possible. This deadlock can occur during station removal when mt76_sta_state() -> mt76_sta_remove() -> mt7925_mac_sta_remove_link() -> mt7925_mac_link_sta_remove() -> mt7925_roc_abort_sync() invokes cancel_work_sync() while roc_work() is still running and holding dev->mt76.mutex. This avoids the mutex deadlock and preserves exactly-once work ownership.
CVE-2026-46256 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS/localio: prevent direct reclaim recursion into NFS via nfs_writepages LOCALIO is an NFS loopback mount optimization that avoids using the network for READ, WRITE and COMMIT if the NFS client and server are determined to be on the same system. But because LOCALIO is still fundamentally "just NFS loopback mount" it is susceptible to recursion deadlock via direct reclaim, e.g.: NFS LOCALIO down to XFS and then back into NFS via nfs_writepages. Fix LOCALIO's potential for direct reclaim deadlock by ensuring that all its page cache allocations are done from GFP_NOFS context. Thanks to Ben Coddington for pointing out commit ad22c7a043c2 ("xfs: prevent stack overflows from page cache allocation").
CVE-2026-46014 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SVM: Add missing save/restore handling of LBR MSRs MSR_IA32_DEBUGCTLMSR and LBR MSRs are currently not enumerated by KVM_GET_MSR_INDEX_LIST, and LBR MSRs cannot be set with KVM_SET_MSRS. So save/restore is completely broken. Fix it by adding the MSRs to msrs_to_save_base, and allowing writes to LBR MSRs from userspace only (as they are read-only MSRs) if LBR virtualization is enabled. Additionally, to correctly restore L1's LBRs while L2 is running, make sure the LBRs are copied from the captured VMCB01 save area in svm_copy_vmrun_state(). Note, for VMX, this also fixes a flaw where MSR_IA32_DEBUGCTLMSR isn't reported as an MSR to save/restore. Note #2, over-reporting MSR_IA32_LASTxxx on Intel is ok, as KVM already handles unsupported reads and writes thanks to commit b5e2fec0ebc3 ("KVM: Ignore DEBUGCTL MSRs with no effect") (kvm_do_msr_access() will morph the unsupported userspace write into a nop). [sean: guard with lbrv checks, massage changelog]
CVE-2026-80734 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: initialize inode mapping flags for cached inodes [BUG] When running generic/795 with 8K block size, 4K page size, the test always fails, triggering some ASSERT()s related to folio size: 795 (241074): drop_caches: 3 assertion failed: IS_ALIGNED(start, blocksize) && IS_ALIGNED(end + 1, blocksize), in extent_io.c:1404 (blocksize=8192 root=262 ino=258 start=16826368 end=16830463 mapping min order=0) ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel BUG at extent_io.c:1404! The crash is triggered with that new debug patch, and without this fix. [CAUSE] In the above case, the start 16826368 is properly 8K aligned, but the end (16830463 + 1) is not 8K aligned. Furthermore the mapping's minimal folio order is 0, not the expected 1 for 8K block size with 4K page size. So this means some inodes do not have btrfs_set_inode_mapping_order() called on it. The missing btrfs_set_inode_mapping_order() call happens for cached inodes, through the following events: - btrfs_create_new_inode() called for inode X Which properly sets minimal folio order for the VFS inode. - btrfs_update_inode() called for inode X Which calls btrfs_delayed_update_inode() to create a delayed_node into root->delayed_nodes xarray. - Drop cache/memory pressure, evicting in-memory inode X Which evicted the inode X, but delayed_node is still in root->delayed_nodes for future reuse. - btrfs_iget() for inode X called again btrfs_iget() |- btrfs_iget_locked() | |- iget5_locked_rcu() | Which creates a new vfs_inode for btrfs, whose mapping still | has the minimal order as 0. | |- btrfs_read_locked_inode() |- btrfs_fill_inode() | |- btrfs_get_delayed_node() | Which found out the previous node, and use that delayed | node to initialize the new inode. | |- filled = true; |- if (filled) goto cache_index; Which skips the btrfs_update_inode_mapping_flags() and btrfs_set_inode_mapping_order() calls. So the inode still has minimal folio order set as 0, not the required 1. Thus later page cache read will get a folio whose size is smaller than block size, as the mapping has its minimal folio order set as 0 not 1, then trigger the ASSERT(). [FIX] Move the btrfs_update_inode_mapping_flags() and btrfs_set_inode_mapping_order() calls under cache_index label, so that the mapping flags and minimal folio order is always set no matter if we have a cached inode.
CVE-2026-43127 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs3: fix circular locking dependency in run_unpack_ex Syzbot reported a circular locking dependency between wnd->rw_lock (sbi->used.bitmap) and ni->file.run_lock. The deadlock scenario: 1. ntfs_extend_mft() takes ni->file.run_lock then wnd->rw_lock. 2. run_unpack_ex() takes wnd->rw_lock then tries to acquire ni->file.run_lock inside ntfs_refresh_zone(). This creates an AB-BA deadlock. Fix this by using down_read_trylock() instead of down_read() when acquiring run_lock in run_unpack_ex(). If the lock is contended, skip ntfs_refresh_zone() - the MFT zone will be refreshed on the next MFT operation. This breaks the circular dependency since we never block waiting for run_lock while holding wnd->rw_lock.
CVE-2026-31526 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix exception exit lock checking for subprogs process_bpf_exit_full() passes check_lock = !curframe to check_resource_leak(), which is false in cases when bpf_throw() is called from a static subprog. This makes check_resource_leak() to skip validation of active_rcu_locks, active_preempt_locks, and active_irq_id on exception exits from subprogs. At runtime bpf_throw() unwinds the stack via ORC without releasing any user-acquired locks, which may cause various issues as the result. Fix by setting check_lock = true for exception exits regardless of curframe, since exceptions bypass all intermediate frame cleanup. Update the error message prefix to "bpf_throw" for exception exits to distinguish them from normal BPF_EXIT. Fix reject_subprog_with_rcu_read_lock test which was previously passing for the wrong reason. Test program returned directly from the subprog call without closing the RCU section, so the error was triggered by the unclosed RCU lock on normal exit, not by bpf_throw. Update __msg annotations for affected tests to match the new "bpf_throw" error prefix. The spin_lock case is not affected because they are already checked [1] at the call site in do_check_insn() before bpf_throw can run. CVE-2026-31487 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: use generic driver_override infrastructure When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match() callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF. Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking care of proper locking internally. Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock held is intentional. [1] Also note that we do not enable the driver_override feature of struct bus_type, as SPI - in contrast to most other buses - passes "" to sysfs_emit() when the driver_override pointer is NULL. Thus, printing "\n" instead of "(null)\n".
CVE-2026-23217 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: trace: fix snapshot deadlock with sbi ecall If sbi_ecall.c's functions are traceable, echo "__sbi_ecall:snapshot" > /sys/kernel/tracing/set_ftrace_filter may get the kernel into a deadlock. (Functions in sbi_ecall.c are excluded from tracing if CONFIG_RISCV_ALTERNATIVE_EARLY is set.) __sbi_ecall triggers a snapshot of the ringbuffer. The snapshot code raises an IPI interrupt, which results in another call to __sbi_ecall and another snapshot... All it takes to get into this endless loop is one initial __sbi_ecall. On RISC-V systems without SSTC extension, the clock events in timer-riscv.c issue periodic sbi ecalls, making the problem easy to trigger. Always exclude the sbi_ecall.c functions from tracing to fix the potential deadlock. sbi ecalls can easiliy be logged via trace events, excluding ecall functions from function tracing is not a big limitation.
CVE-2024-58074 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915: Grab intel_display from the encoder to avoid potential oopsies Grab the intel_display from 'encoder' rather than 'state' in the encoder hooks to avoid the massive footgun that is intel_sanitize_encoder(), which passes NULL as the 'state' argument to encoder .disable() and .post_disable(). TODO: figure out how to actually fix intel_sanitize_encoder()...
CVE-2026-94192 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx 2026-10-20 N/A
A ThreadX module allocates the control blocks of its kernel objects from the Module Manager's object pool, and can ask for that memory back by address with `txm_module_object_deallocate`. The manager released it whatever was in it, including a control block the kernel was still using. Deallocation is not deletion: the object stays on the created list for its type, a thread stays wherever it was on the ready or suspension lists and stays schedulable, and an active timer stays on the timer list. The byte pool is meanwhile free to hand those same bytes to the next allocation.
CVE-2026-72057 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-20 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_ct: preserve tc_skb_cb across defragmentation tcf_ct_handle_fragments() calls nf_ct_handle_fragments() without saving and restoring skb->cb. The defrag helper clears IPCB/IP6CB, which aliases the tc_skb_cb/qdisc_skb_cb control buffer. Fragmented traffic through act_ct therefore loses qdisc metadata such as pkt_segs and can trigger WARN_ON_ONCE() in qdisc_pkt_segs() when panic_on_warn is enabled. Save and restore the full tc_skb_cb around nf_ct_handle_fragments(), matching the pattern used by ovs_ct_handle_fragments().
